A majestic visual identity built around a stylized golden lion - honouring Nigerian heritage and the raw power of an award-winning British-American artist named “Rising Artist of the Year” by Pepsi and Hard Rock Cafe.
The Artist
Alex Boyé is a British-American singer known for his dynamic African-infused pop music. After being named “Rising Artist of the Year” by Pepsi and Hard Rock Cafe, he needed a brand identity that matched his powerful stage presence.
The Design
We developed a majestic logo centered around a stylized Golden Lion. This icon pays homage to his Nigerian heritage while symbolizing strength, leadership, and vocal power. The gold and black color palette elevates the brand, positioning Alex not just as a singer, but as a global entertainment icon.
Built for the Stage
The identity was tested where Alex actually lives: on stage. Performance photography shows the lion mark holding its presence beside choir ensembles and mid-air stage jumps, in lighting conditions that would swallow a weaker logo.
The system pairs the gold icon with bold black typography for posters and merchandise, and softer earth-tone backgrounds for biographical materials, including the artist profile noting his 2017 Rising Artist of the Year recognition from Pepsi and Hard Rock Cafe. Whether stamped on an album cover or watermarked over a video reaching millions of followers, the lion carries the same regal energy as the performances it represents.
The Result
The lion mark now anchors Alex’s visual presence across concert merchandise, album artwork, and social media channels reaching millions of followers. We built the icon with enough detail to feel regal at poster scale, yet simplified enough to read as a watermark on video content. The identity bridges his African roots with a polished international appeal that resonates with audiences from London to Los Angeles.
